Refer and Earn Terms

How StrictlyByIV’s Refer and earn programme works: who can take part, when a referral counts, how rewards are paid, and what doesn’t count.

1. The programme

Refer and earn rewards you for bringing event businesses to StrictlyByIV. Every account has one invite code and link, shown under Profile → Refer and earn. When someone joins with your code and becomes a verified, listed provider, you earn the reward shown in the app.

The programme is run by DERVLABS LTD. Apple and Google are not sponsors of it and are not responsible for it in any way.

2. Who can take part

Anyone with a StrictlyByIV account in good standing can share their code, whether or not they are a provider. The programme may be open only in some states, or only to some people while it is being tested; the app shows whether it is open to you.

A code can be added only to a new account: within the first days after joining (currently 7), and before that account has created a marketplace profile. Each account can add one code, once, and it cannot be changed afterwards.

To add a code, open the invite link with the app installed, or enter the code yourself: on the app’s first screen under “Have an invite code?”, or under Profile → Refer and earn. On Android, if you install the app from an invite link, Google Play passes the code to the app. On an iPhone, the invite page can copy the code for you to paste. Either way, the code is checked, and the person who invited you is shown, before you confirm it.

3. When a referral counts

A referral counts when the person you invited has done all of the following:

  • joined with your code;
  • passed identity verification with their NIN;
  • had a marketplace profile approved and listed, located in a state where the programme is open; and
  • kept a listed, verified profile for the number of listed days shown in the app (currently 30), within a set window from the day it was first listed (currently 60 days).

A referral that never reaches a listing within that window after the code was added, or doesn’t reach the listed days in time, ends without a reward. A first listing made by someone who joined with a code is always checked by a person before it goes live.

4. Rewards and the welcome gift

The reward for a referral is the amount shown in the app at the moment the code was added. It is fixed for that referral: a later change to the programme does not change it.

The person you invited may receive a welcome gift, such as free months of PRO for the role their first listing is under, granted when that listing goes live. It isn’t given to someone who already has PRO for that role or is part-way through paying for it.

5. Limits

There is a limit on how many people can join with one code each day, and on how many rewards one person can earn in total; the app shows how many you have used. The programme as a whole has a cap on the number of referrals and on its total budget. When it fills, no new codes can be added; referrals already in progress keep their place.

6. Payouts

Rewards are paid automatically every Monday, as one transfer covering everything you have earned since the last payout. They are paid only into a Nigerian bank account in your own verified name. If you are not already verified as a provider, you confirm your identity once with your NIN when you add your account. We don’t keep your NIN itself, only its last four digits and a one-way fingerprint of it, so the same NIN can’t be used on another account.

A payout may wait until the following week when payouts are paused for operational reasons, when your account is suspended, or when there is not yet an account on file. If your bank returns a payout, we tell you; it is paid again once you update your account. You are responsible for any tax due on rewards you receive.

7. What doesn’t count

Referring yourself, through a second account or anyone else’s, doesn’t count. Neither does inviting someone who already uses StrictlyByIV, or the same person more than once under different accounts. We compare verified identities, devices and bank accounts to spot this, and we may review any referral that looks unusual before it pays.

We may cancel a referral, withhold a reward, or remove you from the programme where we find fraud, fake or copied profiles, spam, misleading promotion of your code, or anything else that breaks these terms or the Terms of Service. Rewards already paid are not reclaimed except where we find fraud.

8. Pausing, ending and changes

We may pause the programme, end it, narrow it to some states, or change the reward, the limits or these terms at any time. A change applies to codes added after it takes effect. When the programme is paused, ended or closed, referrals already in progress continue under the terms they started with, and anyone still owed a reward can see their progress in the app until it is paid.

9. Deleting your account

If you ask to delete your account, your code stops working and referrals that haven’t earned anything yet end. Rewards you have already earned are still paid into the account on file during the deletion period. Anything still unpaid when the account is finally removed is forfeited. If the person you invited deletes their account after your reward was earned, it is still yours.

10. Your information

If you join with someone’s code, they see your first name and last initial and how far along your referral is. To prevent fraud we keep a protected record of the app installation, verified identity and bank account involved in each referral. See the Privacy Policy for how we handle your information.
