1. Profile types
StrictlyByIV supports marketplace profiles for planners, vendors, and venues. Each profile has its own operational setup, but all public profiles help clients evaluate your work before messaging or booking.
- Planner profiles: Present your planning service, location, pricing anchor, story, and proof.
- Vendor profiles: Present your business name, category, service area, packages, photos, and policies.
- Venue profiles: Present your venue name, type, address, capacity, amenities, pricing, and gallery.
2. Complete the basics first
Use Profile in the app to create, complete, or edit your provider profile. The basics help clients recognize and find you.
- Add the public display name clients should see.
- Write a clear description of what you do and who you serve.
- Choose the state and local government area clients should search against.
- Set a starting price or venue price so clients have a comparison point.
- For vendors, choose the marketplace category that best describes the service.
- For venues, add the venue type, address, capacity, and amenities.
3. Shape your marketplace story
The marketplace story gives clients quick trust signals before they open a booking request.
- Public tagline: A short line that appears below your profile name.
- Service area: The cities, states, or event types you actively serve.
- Response time: A typical response window so clients know what to expect.
- Experience and team size: Optional proof points that help clients compare providers.
- Website and social links: Add only links you want clients to use for evaluation.
- Service highlights: Short bullets that describe your strongest offers or specialties.
4. Packages, FAQs, and policies
Packages and policies help clients understand what is included before they request a booking.
- Use packages for named offers, starting amounts, included items, add-ons, and featured services.
- Use FAQs for common questions about availability, travel, setup, client requirements, or service fit.
- Use service policies for rescheduling, overtime, setup/teardown, travel, and additional fees.
- Cancellation and refund language is policy-controlled by the platform and payment setup. Do not replace formal policy rules with free-text claims.
- Choose either full payment to confirm or a 25–75% deposit followed by balance. The same modes apply to planners, vendors, and venues.
- Your balance due and grace settings control the booker's collection deadline, not your payout date. Full and balance funds stay held through service and follow the platform's post-service release policy.
5. Gallery and cover photo
Your gallery helps clients inspect your work or venue before they contact you. Upload clear photos, set a strong cover image, and keep captions practical.
- The first uploaded photo may become the cover by default.
- Setting a new cover replaces the previous cover.
- If the cover is removed, another photo may be promoted automatically.
- Captions and alt text help describe what the client is seeing.
6. Visibility and preview
Profile visibility controls whether clients can see or discover your marketplace profile.
- Public: The profile has a public surface that can be opened when permitted.
- Listed/searchable: The profile can appear in marketplace discovery.
- Hidden: The profile is not listed publicly, but you may still be able to preview the saved version.
Preview shows the last saved version of your profile. If you have unsaved changes, save first before expecting them to appear in preview.
7. Booking readiness
Clients can evaluate a public profile before booking, but commercial booking requests still need an event context. If a client starts from global Explore, the app may ask them to choose or create an event first.
Keep payment setup, bank account setup, pricing, visibility, and profile content current so clients have enough information to trust the booking request.
